Dr. Joel Wallach addressed the human body's ability to achieve natural healing, along with the benefits of remedies and supplements that aid in the body's recovery from chronic conditions. He pointed out that human beings are made up of about 15 different systems, including immune, digestive, reproductive, cardiovascular, and circulatory. Each of these systems has specific nutritional and dietary requirements, he continued. According to Wallach, food containing gluten (like wheat, oats, barley, and rye) damages the functionality of the intestines.

Several callers reported various symptoms, such as balance problems, irregular heartbeat, and a ringing in the ears, and Doc Wallach suggested osteoporosis of the skull could be the cause. In this kind of osteoporosis, the skull compresses the cranial nerves in the spinal cord, he explained. He explores this issue more fully in his book, It's All in Your Head! Wallach also contended that diseases are not genetic in nature but rather due to nutritional deficiencies.
