Pharmacist, nutritionist, and cosmetic chemist Ben Fuchs shared alternative health concepts, and offered tips on supplements and healthy changes to one's diet and lifestyle. Vitamin D can turn on beneficial genes, he reported, but it needs to be activated by the liver and kidney. Vitamin D is best taken with a spectrum of other supplements that support these organs' health, he added. Some of the COVID symptoms like the loss of smell and taste are associated with nutritional deficiencies, he suggested, and such deficiencies are also behind diabetes, cancer, and auto-immune conditions.

Fuchs talked about different ways to improve skin quality, which can be related to the digestive system. He advised taking digestive enzymes, probiotics, EFAs, Vitamins A & E, and including some fats in the diet. One of the best things a person can do for their health, he continued, is to eat less food-- and by that, he means, not getting less nutrition, but just consuming fewer calories. The gall bladder is a major organ for detoxification, Fuchs noted, and to protect its health, he recommended supplementation with bile salts and betaine.
