Dr. Joel Wallach addressed alternative health approaches and the benefits of remedies and supplements that aid in the body's recovery from many diseases and ailments. He announced his forthcoming book "All in Your Head," which details how the twelve pairs of cranial nerves can get squeezed as they travel out of the brain, such as through osteoporosis of the skull, which may cause symptoms like blindness, vertigo, and the loss of voice and hearing. He related this to atrial fibrillation (AFib)-- in which a person has rapid or irregular heartbeats. He believes the condition is caused by a nerve issue in the spinal cord, and that symptoms can be alleviated by such supplements such as Vitamin D3 and MSM.

In response to a question about hemorrhoids, Wallach said they were similar to varicose veins and that supplementation with the mineral selenium can be helpful. Asked what he thought is the most healthy food for a person to eat-- he declared it was eggs, which offer a perfect and complete amount of protein. Rather than following the adage "an apple a day keeps the doctor away," (he noted that apples are high in fructose), he maintained that consuming a stick of butter a day is much healthier.
